Architect

Biography

Kim studied engineering and architecture at Ghent University, where she graduated in 2010. Before joining DDS+ in May 2018, she completed a PhD that focused on school building practices in Africa, a continent for which she has a deep and longstanding fondness. With DDS+, she seeks to explore and develop concrete answers to architectural issues, themes and questions that previously remained academic, engaging in all phases of the architectural process. She strongly believes that while architecture is rarely, if ever, perfect, as architects we have a social responsibility to remain idealistic in our aim to create a better environment for all. Outside of work, Kim enjoys to spend time with her family, host parties for friends, and explore food from all over the world.
