International rewarding for Royale Belge
Royale Belge is among the final winners of the RIBA International Awards for Excellence 2026, along with two other Belgian projects! We are proud to see this project helping showcase Belgian architecture on the international stage.
The project was fundamentally about carefully calibrated interventions, designed to preserve the original character of the protected building while adapting it to its new uses and preparing it for the future. This approach included reusing and recycling materials wherever possible, making precise and considered modifications, and improving its energy performance, all while safeguarding the essence of its original design.
This recognition demonstrates how architecture can respond to the social, environmental, and urban challenges that are at the heart of our practice.
