The "Bara B8" project is located on the site of the "Bara De Lijn" project but was developed as a completely separate entity. The project resulted from open contract procedures and it is the only renovation carried out at the site. An emblematic building at the site, classed as a facility of common interest, was subject to major renovation so as to be assigned new uses as part of the "Bara De Lijn" global project which is a driver for urban development. During the renovation, we paid particular attention to the architectural heritage and today this building bears excellent testimony to the site’s industrial history.
