Architect

Biography

Karel has worked as an architect for over 35 years. His involvement in various projects draws on that vast experience. As he trained during the recession of the early 1980s, no assignment is too difficult or arduous for him. Context, sustainability, technicity, creativity, empathy, social ... both within the DDS+ team and in the relationship with clients, these are the key concepts of the profession. Although he is very fond of working with a pencil and eraser, he has always been fascinated by the digital evolution of the architect’s working environment. He lives and breathes 3D views, he considers checking texts and drawings as an occupational compulsion, and finds devising workable building details child’s play. He enjoys lending a helping hand and considers training and supporting young people to be important and motivating. Language, art and particularly music and photography are other passions besides architecture. Karel is the firm’s unofficial photographer. He is a family man and is also rather fond of his dog.
