Biography

Bulle Leroy decided she was going to work in architecture when she was 16 years old, after having visited Victor Horta’s Hôtel Tassel. At that time, she had already realised that architecture represents a multitude of challenges to be taken up. Today, within DDS+, she is relishing her opportunity to be able to update her skills, constantly learn new things, and meet and deal with people from different backgrounds. She prefers to work on urban, complex projects, where spatial planning considerations are more demanding. She is passionate about her career, and Bulle commits herself to each project by meeting the growing demands facing architects today with great professionalism. Renzo Piano, the Italian architect who worked on projects including the Centre Pompidou, remains her main inspiration because, she says, ‘his architecture evolves without his projects ageing or becoming obsolete’.
